TYPE 90 Hop PELLETS (Hopfen zerkleinert/zu Puder gemahlen und dann pelletiert)
Die beliebtesten Sorten sind ebenfalls in Form von Type 90 Pellets auf Lager. Diese sind in Folienpacks versiegelt und werden während des Kochens als Bitterstoff oder später für das Aroma genutzt. Sie müssen in Verbindung mit einem Whirlpool oder einem leistungsfähigen Filtersystem eingesetzt werden.
Anmerkung 1: Da die Alphasäure abgebaut wird, entwickeln andere oxidierte Komponenten Bitterstoffe als Ersatz, jedoch werden die ätherischen Öle (für das Aroma) und die allgemeine Frische des Hopfens verloren gehen.
